Henry III. (Vaudémont)

Henry III. (* before 1299; † January 21, 1348 ) was a Count of Vaudémont . He was a son of Count Heinrich II and the Hélisente von Vergy.

Heinrich was still under the age of majority when his father died in southern Italy in 1299, which is why his stepfather, the Connétable Gaucher V. de Châtillon , exercised guardianship for him. He led a feud against Duke Theobald II of Lorraine and attacked Nancy in 1305 . In response, the Duke devastated the towns of Réméreville and Pulligny . In the peace agreement subsequently agreed in 1306, Heinrich married the duke's sister. In 1328 he fought on the side of King Philip VI. of France at the Battle of Cassel .
