Henry III. von der Neersen (* before 1325; † around 1370) was a Lower Rhine knight and hereditary bailiff of Neersen , Anrath and Uerdingen .

Life

He was the son of Heinrich II , hereditary bailiff of Neersen, Anrath and Uerdingen and his wife Eva. After his father's death, he inherited his bailiwicks and Neersen Castle as a vassal from the Electorate of Cologne .

1340 untersiegelte as "Henricus, advocatum de Nersa, militem," a document in which the Vogt Conrad von Willich the Abbey Gladbach gave certain Einkunftsrechte. In 1341 he witnessed the marriage contract between Gerhard IV von Landskron and Kunigunde von Moers . In 1343 he witnessed a reconciliation between Gerhard von Dyck and the city ​​of Cologne . In 1366 he granted the wife of the knight Godert Knops breeding over the manor in "Ossenhem", which he held as a man's fief.

In 1367 he signed a division agreement with his sons Heinrich and Friedrich about their inheritance claims. He probably died in 1370, and in the following year his eldest son Heinrich was enfeoffed with his bailiffs. His younger son Friedrich became lord of Neuenburg Castle (Neuerberg) near Neuss-Rosellen in 1393 .
