The community Fushë Kosova ( Albanian  Komuna e Fushë Kosovës , Serbian Општина Косово Поље Opština Kosovo Polje ) is a municipality in Kosovo . It is located in the Pristina district . The administrative seat is the city of Fushë Kosova .

geography

The municipality of Fushë Kosova is located in the center of Kosovo. It borders the municipality of Lipjan to the south, the municipalities of Pristina and Gračanica to the east, the municipality of Obiliq to the north and the municipality of Drenas to the west . There are a total of 15 villages in the municipality. The area is 83 km². Together with the municipalities of Pristina, Podujeva, Drenas, Obiliq, Lipjan, Gračanica, the municipality forms the Pristina district.

The census from 2011 showed a population of 34,827 for the municipality of Fushë Kosova, of which 30,275 identified themselves as Albanians (86.9%), 3230 as Ashkali (9.3%), 436 as Roma (1.3%), 321 as Serbs (0.9%), 282 as Balkan Egyptians (0.8%) and 111 as members of other nationalities.

34,019 declared themselves as Muslims, 428 as Orthodox , 71 as Catholics , 218 gave no answer or were non-denominational.
