The municipality of Parteš ( Serbian Општина Вучитрн Opština Parteš or Општине Партеш / Пасјане or Opština Parteš / Pasjane , Albanian  Komuna e Parteshit or also Komuna e Parteshit / Pasjanit ) is a municipality in Kosovo. It is located in the Gjilan District . The administrative seat is in Parteš .

history

The municipality of Parteš was established after Kosovo's independence in 2008. It is one of the seven new municipalities introduced.

geography

The municipality of Parteš is located in the southwest of Kosovo. In the north it borders on the Gjilan , in the south on Vitia and in the east on the Ferizaj . In total there are 3 villages in the municipality. The area is 18.3 km². Together with the municipalities of Gjilan, Kamenica , Klokot , Ranilug and Vitia, the municipality forms the Gjilan district .

Residents

The 2011 census showed a population of 1,787 in the municipality of Parteš, 1,785 of whom were Serbs . 1,786 declared themselves to be Serbian Orthodox .
