The municipality Leposavić ( Serbian Општина Звечан Opština Leposavić , Albanian  Komuna e Leposaviqit or Komuna e Albanikut ) is a municipality in Kosovo. It is located in the Mitrovica district . The administrative seat is the city of Leposavić .

geography

The municipality of Leposavić is located in the north of Kosovo. Serbia borders on the north of the municipality and the municipality of Zvečan in the south. There are a total of 42 villages in the municipality. The area is 539 km². Together with the municipalities of Zubin Potok , Mitrovica Jugut , Severna Kosovska Mitrovica , Skënderaj , Vushtrria and Zvečan, the municipality forms the Mitrovica district . The Ibar flows through the municipality .
