The municipality of Malisheva ( Albanian  Komuna e Malishevës , Serbian Општина Малишево Opština Mališevo ) is a municipality in Kosovo . It is located in the Prizren district . The administrative seat is the city of Malisheva .

geography

The Malisheva municipality is located in the center of Kosovo. In the northeast the municipality borders on Drenas , in the east on Lipjan , in the southeast on Suhareka , in the southwest on Rahovec and in the northwest on Klina . There are a total of 43 villages in the municipality. The area is 361 km². Together with the parishes of Prizren, Suhareka, Mamusha and Dragash, the parish forms the Prizren District.

The 2011 census showed a population of 54,613 for the municipality of Malisheva, of which 54,501 (99.79%) described themselves as Albanians , 31 (0.06%) as Roma and Ashkali and 15 (0.03%) as Bosniaks . Eight belong to other races and 58 have no answer regarding the race. 54,414 declared themselves Muslims, 7  Catholics , 144 did not answer and six have no faith.
