The municipality Severna Kosovska Mitrovica ( Serbian Општина Северна Косовска Митровица Opština Severna Kosovska Mitrovica , Albanian  Komuna e Mitrovicës Veriore ) is a municipality in Kosovo. It is located in the Mitrovica district . The administrative seat of this municipality is located in the northern part of the city of Mitrovica .

geography

The municipality of Severna Kosovska Mitrovica is located in the north of Kosovo. In the north the municipality borders on Zvečan and in the east, south and west on the municipality Mitrovica e Jugut . The area is 11 km². Together with the municipalities of Mitrovica e Jugut, Vushtrria , Skënderaj , Leposavić , Zubin Potok and Zvečan , the municipality forms the Mitrovica district .

The municipal area includes the predominantly Serbian - speaking northern part of the city of Mitrovica , called North Mitrovica , including part of the village of Suhodoll.
