Gabi Dreo Rodosek

Gabi Dreo Rodosek (* 1965 as Gabrijela Dreo), also Gabrijela Dreo-Rodošek is a German computer scientist and holder of the Chair " communications systems and network security " of the Institute of Technical computer science of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich .

Career

After graduating from high school in 1984 at the natural science high school in Maribor , Dreo Rodosek studied computer science at the University of Maribor until she graduated in 1988 . She completed her subsequent postgraduate studies in 1991 with a master’s thesis on the OSI Management Information Model for Open Distributed Processing (ODP) with Bogomir Horvat and Marko Jagodič with honors as a master’s degree in technical sciences . In July 1995 Dreo Rodosek was awarded a “summa cum laude” dissertation as a mathematical-technical assistant to Heinz-Gerd Hegering on the subject of A Framework for Supporting Fault Diagnosis in Integrated Network and Systems Management: Methodologies for the Correlation of Trouble Tickets and Access to Problem-Solving Expertise at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich for Dr. rer. nat. PhD in computer science. From 1995 to 2004 Dreo Rodosek carried out research as a research assistant at the Leibniz Computing Center in the Communication Networks department. 2002 habilitation them at LMU, then they decreased between 2003 and 2004 as a lecturer , a visiting professor of Distributed Systems at LMU. In 2004 she received the call to the University of Stuttgart for the C4 professorship for information services with management function of the computer center of the University of Stuttgart (RUS) as well as the call to the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich for the C4 professorship for communication systems and internet services. After she accepted the call to the UniBwM and rejected the one to Stuttgart, she took over the chair for communication systems and internet services as a university professor in Neubiberg .

Dreo Rodosek is director of the research institute CODE (Cyber ​​Operations Defense). She is a member of the advisory board and the supervisory board of Giesecke & Devrient , a member of the supervisory board of BWI GmbH and a member of the administrative board of the German Research Network . Her research focuses on the IT security of networked systems, network technologies such as software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NVF), Internet of Things (IoT) and smart data .
