Heinrich Karl Philibert Orth

Heinrich Karl Philibert Orth (born March 31, 1733 in Heilbronn ; † August 21, 1795 ibid); was mayor of Heilbronn in 1794/95 .

Life

The eldest son of the mayor Georg Heinrich Orth enrolled at the University of Tübingen on April 1, 1752. First he was a parish clerk, then an archivist , and in 1770 belonged to the small, inner council ("von den burgern"), was tax master from 1789 and from July 1, 1794 mayor of Heilbronn .

family

In 1756 he was married to Catherina Salome Weigand, the daughter of a Württemberg court chamber councilor from Wimpfen, and had a daughter and two sons with her: Heinrich Friedrich and Georg Ludwig. Heinrich Friedrich Ludwig Orth, born in 1760, enrolled in law at the Karlsschule Stuttgart, where he made the acquaintance of Friedrich Schiller . Although he entered the Heilbronn council hierarchy, he led an offensive way of life (he was called the “Sauorthle”), so that he was dismissed from his court position after his father's death. He then moved through the country as a musician and is lost. His brother Georg Ludwig Eberhard Orth (1767-1828) tried unsuccessfully as a businessman, left Heilbronn in 1808 and died childless.
