Heinrich Kirchner (paleontologist)

Heinrich Kirchner (born December 31, 1885 in Würzburg , † September 15, 1953 ) was a German paleontologist and geologist .

Kirchner received his doctorate in 1913 in Würzburg and completed his habilitation in 1923, after which he was a private lecturer and, from 1930, an associate professor in Würzburg.

He dealt in particular with the fossils of the Triassic in Franconia, especially in the area around Würzburg.
