Heinrich Klages

Heinrich Klages (born June 14, 1875 ; † 1969 ) was a German entrepreneur.

Professional

Heinrich Klages attended the secondary school in Goslar and completed his professional training in sawmills and wood dealers in the Harz Mountains , Kassel and Hamburg .

He was managing director of the Harzer Sägewerke GmbH in Wernigerode , board member of the AG for wood trade and wood industry in Bad Harzburg as well as a deputy member of the administrative board of the Braunschweigisch public mobile insurance company and life insurance company. In addition, Klages acted as chairman of the employers' associations of the Harz wood industry and the association of wood industrialists in the Harz region.

Klages was the sole owner of the H. Klages company in Harlingerode in the Harz Mountains , a timber trade, planing mills and sawmills in Harlingerode and Annaberg, Ratibor district in Upper Silesia and Calvörde in Braunschweig.

More functions

Klages was managing director of Ziegelei Bündheim, GmbH until 1906 and authorized signatory of the printing paper factory Oker GmbH in Oker until 1915.

Klages was also listed in the Paper Makers' Directory of All Nations in 1920.

Private

Klage's grandfather Johann and his father Heinrich founded the company.

Klages was married and had three children; one son was the scientist Friedrich Klages .
