Heinrich Knauer
Heinrich Knauer (born October 3, 1879 in Rosental , † October 12, 1947 in Dresden ) was a German drummer , solo timpanist and music teacher .
Knauer worked with the Staatskapelle Dresden as a drummer and solo timpanist. Here he had the title of chamber virtuoso . At the same time he was a member of the Bayreuth Festival orchestra - also as a solo timpanist . He taught drums and timpani in the Villa Bruno Krumbholz in Kötzschenbroda , a district of the Saxon city of Radebeul , and was the founder of the Dresden drum school, a special way of playing and playing technique. He published music books for training as a classical drummer and timpanist.
