Heinrich Lange (chemist)

Heinrich Lange (born July 22, 1853 in Erndtebrück , † 1920 in Berlin ) was a German chemist specializing in dyeing . He was the first director of the Royal Dyeing and Finishing School in Krefeld.

education

After an apprenticeship in the family dye works, he studied chemistry from 1878 at the Gewerbeinstitut Berlin , later at the Technical University of Berlin-Charlottenburg . There he attended lectures a. a. with F. Tiemann , August Wilhelm von Hoffmann and Helmholtz . In 1881 he completed his dissertation in Freiburg i. Breisgau .
