Heinrich Moritz von Attems-Heiligenkreuz

Heinrich Moritz Graf von Attems-Heiligenkreuz (born March 19, 1852 in Spielfeld , † December 23, 1926 in Gösting ) was an Austro-Hungarian Privy Councilor and Austrian General of the Cavalry .

Life

Moritz Graf von Attems -Heiligenkreuz was born as the son of Maria Willhelm Graf von Attems-Heiligenkreuz (1810–1872) and Wilhelmine Freiin v. Born Ottenfels (1817–1905), Lady of the Star Cross. He married Countess Margareta Somssich de Sáard in Pressburg on January 30th, 1902. From 1891 to 1897 Count Moritz Attems was regiment commander of the Kuk Bohemian Dragoon Regiment "Duke of Lorraine" No. 7 . On November 1, 1897 (November 7, 1897) he was promoted to major general , on May 1, 1902 (retroactively to April 27, 1902) to the rank of Lieutenant Field Marshal and on April 1, 1909 to Titular General of the Cavalry and retired.

His uncle was Field Marshal Lieutenant Alexander Graf von Attems Freiherr auf Heiligenkreuz (1814-1896).
