Heinrich Petri (theologian)
Heinrich Petri (born December 22, 1934 in Lünen ) is a German theologian .
Life
From 1955 to 1962 he studied philosophy and theology in Paderborn and Rome . After graduation in 1965 Dr. theol. in Rome ( Pontifical Gregorian University ) from 1966 he was section head at the Johann Adam Möhler Institute for Ecumenism in Paderborn. After his habilitation in 1969 for the subjects of Fundamental Theology and Comparative Religious Studies at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Würzburg , he became Professor of Fundamental Theology at the Philosophical-Theological University of Passau . In 1971 he became a professor of fundamental theology at the Paderborn Theological Faculty . From 1979 to 2003 he taught as professor for fundamental theology at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Regensburg .
