Heinrich Radbrock († 1536 ) was initially a Catholic, then a Protestant clergyman and from 1521 to 1529 the last abbot of the Scharnebeck monastery .

Life

Radbrock, who came from a Lüneburg patrician family that can be traced back to the 13th century, handed the monastery over to Duke Ernst the Confessor in 1529 , who in return granted him an annual pension. Even before the abolition of the monastery, Radbruch moved to Lüneburg and in June 1531 married the daughter of the late Lüneburg citizen Hermann Pralle. As the successor to Urbanus Rhegius , he was finally appointed chief pastor at the St. Johannis Church and city superintendent. In 1535 he represented the Lüneburg clergy at the Hamburg Convention . He died in 1536 and was buried in the St. John's Church. His successor in Lüneburg was Paul vom Rode in 1537 .
