The Klever Verlag is a 2008 Vienna established publisher of contemporary literature and essay writing . The publisher is based in Vienna and is owned by Ralph Klever .

history

Before founding his own publishing house, Ralph Klever had been active in the Austrian publishing industry for a long time, including as a publishing editor for Ritter Verlag and responsible for the publishing assistant at Molden Verlag . Adelheid Dahimène , who published her volume of poetry Blitzrosa Glamor with Klever Verlag in 2009 , gave a decisive impetus to founding the publishing house. Ralph Klever was soon able to win Andreas Okopenko and Ann Cotten as additional authors for the publishing house. Ralph Klever runs the publishing house as a one-man company, only the cover design is outsourced. The publisher is dependent on public funding. The publisher presents itself regularly at the major book fairs such as B. the Frankfurt Book Fair , as well as at events for independent publishers .

In the literary edition of Klever Verlag, prose texts of all kinds, poems, improvisations and miniatures appear. Internally, the essays are seen as a separate track, which Ralph Klever attaches great importance to.

The magazine Idiome is also published by Klever, with Florian Neuner and Lisa Spalt as editors . The magazine is dedicated to advanced prose from the entire German-speaking area.
