Heinrich Reinhardt (chess player)

Heinrich Reinhardt (later also Enrique Reinhardt ) (born March 29, 1903 in Stettin , † June 14, 1990 in Argentina ) was a German chess player .

Reinhardt took part in the German Championships in 1934 and 1935, as well as in Bad Oeynhausen in 1937 and 1938. His best result was a second place in Aachen in 1934 behind Carl Carls .

At the Chess Olympiad in Buenos Aires in 1939 , he played on the first reserve board and scored 6.5 points from 12 games (+5 = 3-4). The German team won the gold medal. Because of the outbreak of war , he and his teammates Erich Eliskases (1913–1997), Ludwig Engels (1905–1967), Albert Becker (1896–1984) and Paul Michel (1905–1977) no longer returned to Europe, but began a new life in South America.

Reinhardt participated in the national championships of Argentina in 1952, 1954, 1955, 1958, 1959, 1960 and 1961. In zone tournaments he took part in 1951 in Mar del Plata and 1960 in São Paulo .

He had his best historical rating of 2518 in June 1934, which puts him in 64th place in the world rankings that were subsequently calculated for this point in time.
