Heinrich Remigius Frieze

Heinrich Remigius Fries (born July 1, 1812 in Frankfurt am Main ; † August 7, 1875 there ) was an entrepreneur and politician of the Free City of Frankfurt .

Heinrich Remigius Fries was a trader and manufacturer in Frankfurt am Main. He took over the company founded by his father Johann Simon Fries and made it one of Europe's leading companies under the JS Fries Sohn company . The company achieved particular fame in Frankfurt through the construction of the Eiserner Steg over the Main (1867–1869).

On October 25, 1848, he was elected to the Constituent Assembly of the Free City of Frankfurt . He was a member of the Legislative Body from 1858 to 1866 and of the Permanent Citizens' Representation from 1860 to 1866 .
