Heinrich Welling (born September 18, 1555 in Tübingen ; † January 17, 1620 ibid) was a German classical philologist and professor at the University of Tübingen .
Life
From 1588 Heinrich Welling was professor of classical philology at the Pedagogy in Tübingen, educational architect , carer for the widow and children of the late Dr. Alexander Faber and the widow and children of Magister Otto Gryphius (1561–1612). In 1588 he taught Cicero's De officiis II / III in the secondary, 1594–1620 Cicero's letters and speeches and the Grammatica Latina Linacri in the secondary.
His portrait, painted in 1608, hangs in the professors' gallery in Tübingen .
