Heinrich Westermann

Heinrich Westermann (born March 15, 1855 in Lütgendortmund ; † March 20, 1925 there ) was a German politician (DVP).

Live and act

After attending elementary school in Lütgendortmund and secondary school in Dortmund, Westermann was trained as a farmer on his father's farm. After attending the agricultural college in Halle, Westermann settled down as a farmer in Lütgendortmund. There he became a board member of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Province of Westphalia and the German Agriculture Council.

From 1899 to 1918 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the National Liberal Party (NLP) and from June 1903 to January 1907 the Reichstag of the Empire as a representative of the constituency of Arnsberg 7 (Hamm-Soest).

After the First World War, Westermann joined the German People's Party (DVP). From June 1920 to May 1924 Westermann was a member of the first Reichstag of the Weimar Republic , where he represented constituency 20 (Westphalia-South).
