Heinrich Wilhelm Eschenburg

Heinrich Wilhelm Eschenburg (born December 17, 1795 in Lübeck , † December 15, 1852 in Travemünde ) was a Lutheran clergyman and politician.

Life

Eschenburg studied Protestant theology at the University of Rostock from 1813 . During his studies he joined the Rostochia Corps in Rostock.

In 1818 he became a deacon (preacher, 2nd pastor) at St. Lorenz in Travemünde, which at that time was still a branch church of Lübeck's Marienkirche , and in 1836 as successor to Friedrich Joachim Hasse its pastor. His successor in 1853 was Ludwig Heller , who had been a preacher at the church since 1836. Heinrich Wilhelm Eschenburg was a member of the first elected Lübeck citizenship in 1849/1850 .
