Heinrich Wilper

Heinrich Wilper (born October 12, 1908 in Verne in the Büren district ; † March 3, 1967 in Paderborn ) was a German farmer and politician ( CDU ). He was both a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia and a member of the Bundestag.

Life and work

After attending primary school, Wilper completed an agricultural apprenticeship, studied two semesters at the agricultural school in Salzkotten and passed the agricultural examination. In 1933 he took over the management of his parents' farm. From 1943 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . In 1952 he became a member of the Chamber of Agriculture Westphalia-Lippe.

Wilper joined the CDU and was district chairman of the CDU in the Büren district since 1949. In 1952 he became deputy district administrator for his party, and since 1954 he was district administrator of the Büren district. Wilper was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament on July 13, 1954 and acted there from 1962 to 1965 as deputy chairman of the committee for food, agriculture and forestry. After he was elected to the German Bundestag , he resigned from his Landtag mandate on October 11, 1965. He was a member of the Bundestag from the 1965 Bundestag election until his death, where he represented the Höxter constituency . He was a full member of the Transport Committee and a deputy member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry.
