Heinrichshütte (Hamm)
The Heinrichshütte was an ironworks near Hamm (Sieg) in the Westerwald, Altenkirchen district . It existed from 1650 to 1927. The owners were, among others, the Prussian state , the Siegen entrepreneur Dresler and the “Wissener Bergwerks- und Hütten-AG”.
Ores from the “ Huth ”, “ Hohegrete ”, “ Petersbach ” and “Pfaffenseifen” mines from the area were processed in the hut . There was a rail connection to Au (Sieg) .
The “Heinrichs Hütte” settlement was built around the hut, west of Hamm, before there were two windmills. In 1831 the settlement had three houses.
