societies

Grün began his career at FV 1920 Karlstadt . After moving to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich in 2002, he was committed to Bayern's second team in 2006 . For this, Green made his debut on September 10, 2006 (7th matchday) in a 2-2 draw at home against VfR Aalen in the Regionalliga Süd . He played his first game in the 3rd league on August 23, 2008 (4th matchday) in a 1-0 win in the away game against Eintracht Braunschweig . This was followed by two more appearances against VfR Aalen (0-0) and against 1. FC Union Berlin (0-0); Green thus remained clean in all third division games.

In August 2009, Grün switched to SpVgg Greuther Fürth and, after consistently consistent performances, became the goalkeeper in the 2009/10 season . SpVgg Greuther Fürth extended his contract by four years to June 30, 2014. At the end of the 2011/12 season, he and his club took the first place in the table, which meant promotion to the Bundesliga. However, in the course of the season, Green was replaced as goalkeeper by Wolfgang Hesl .

For the 2013/14 season , Green moved to Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg . He signed a contract until June 30, 2016 and is scheduled to replace Diego Benaglio . He played his first Bundesliga game for VfL on March 25, 2014 (27th matchday) in a 3-1 win in the away game against Werder Bremen with a substitution at the 2nd half for the injured Benaglio. In 2015 he won the DFB Cup with Wolfsburg and was runner-up.

On June 30, 2018, he left the club when his contract expired and moved to second division SV Darmstadt 98 at the beginning of September, where he did not appear in the 2018/19 season behind Daniel Heuer Fernandes .

For the 2019/20 season, Green is moving to Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach .

National team

Green came on October 20, 2002 in Eschweiler for his first appearance as a national player of the DFB when he won with the U16 national team 2-1 against the Welsh selection. This was followed by three more appearances in 2003 before he made his debut in the U17 national team on September 30, 2003 at Amel in the 0-0 draw against Belgium . It was used three more times in 2003 for this selection.
