Heinz-Malte Barten

Heinz-Malte Barten (born September 18, 1944 in Vetschau ) is a German pathologist .

Life

Heinz-Malte Barten was born in Vetschau on September 18, 1944 as the son of the doctors Heinz Barten and Gerda Barten. In 1962 he passed his Abitur in Stralsund , then he was an assistant nurse at the hospital in Bergen on Rügen . Then in 1963 he began studying human medicine at the University of Rostock . In 1969 he graduated from this and became a Doctor of Medicine doctorate .

After receiving his doctorate, Barten worked at the Institute for Pathology. He was from the University in 1985 habilitated and finally in 1988 an associate professor of pathological anatomy. In 1992 he was appointed professor of pathology and cytopathology . Barten retired in 2009 .

At the medical faculty in Rostock, Barten was a member of the research commission and also acted as a representative for examination matters. He is a member of the German Society for Pathology and the German Society for Cytology .
