Heinz-Walter Schmitz
Heinz-Walter Schmitz (* 1944 near Cologne ) is a German Catholic church musician , author and composer.
Life
In 1976 he became cathedral choirmaster at Passau Cathedral . In 2000 he moved to the ordinariate of the Diocese of Passau , where he headed the church music department as diocesan church music director until his retirement in 2009 . He has published numerous works on church music topics as well as liturgical compositions.
