Zaid Ashkanani
Zaid Ashkanani (born May 24, 1994 ) is a Kuwaiti automobile racing driver . In the 2013/14 season he won the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East . He started in the GP3 series in 2015 .
Career
Ashkanani began his motorsport career in GT racing in the 2012/13 season . He started in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East and achieved sixth place in the drivers' championship. In addition, Ashkanani also competed in formula racing in 2013 . He made three guest starts in the British Formula Ford and competed in an ADAC Formula Masters event . He also took part in two races of the Porsche Supercup as a guest starter. In the 2013/14 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East, Ashkanani won three races and won the championship. With 245 to 244 points he prevailed against Clemens Schmid . In 2014/15, Ashkanani is contesting his third season in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East. After the tenth race, he finished second overall.
In 2015 Ashkanani decided to switch to formula racing . He received a cockpit at Campos Racing in the GP3 series . He finished his debut season in 24th place overall.
