Heinz-Wolfgang Domröse

Heinz-Wolfgang Domröse (born September 18, 1946 in Herne ) is a German physicist and politician ( SPD ).

Domröse attended elementary school in Herne and later high school in Herne, Dortmund and Solingen. After graduating from high school, he began studying physics at the Technical University of Clausthal , which he completed as a graduate physicist. From 1972 to 1989 he worked as a scientific assistant and later as a university assistant at the Institute for Metallurgy and Foundry at the Technical University in Clausthal. In 1980 he received his doctorate in engineering. Since 1989 he has been working as a freelance engineer in the development of IT systems.

Domröse is a member of the Education and Science Union and a member of the workers' welfare organization . He became a member of the SPD in 1965 and was elected chairman of the SPD sub-district of Osterode. He was chairman of the supervisory board of Kurbetriebsgesellschaft Bad Grund GmbH. From 1976 he was councilor of the municipality of Bad Grund (Harz) and here from 1981 mayor. From 1981 he was also a councilor of the Bad Grund (Harz) community and was elected chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.

Domröse was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 12th to 14th electoral period from June 21, 1990 to 2003.
