Heinz Blasey (born January 1, 1948 ) is a former German soccer player .

The goalkeeper Heinz Blasey started playing football at TSG Karnap 07 . He received his first professional contract in 1969 with Rot-Weiss Essen . He made his Bundesliga debut on March 5, 1971 in the home game against FC Schalke 04 when he came on for the injured goalkeeper Fred-Werner Bockholt in the 62nd minute . Blasey was barely a minute between the posts when Klaus Fischer scored the 1-1 equalizer for Schalke. Later in the game, Blasey held a penalty from Herbert Lütkebohmert , but the game was lost 3-1. Blasey stayed with Rot-Weiss Essen even after temporary relegations from the first division. From the 1973/1974 season, Blasey was a regular goalkeeper at Rot-Weiss. In 1977 he rose again with the Essenes and played another season with Rot-Weiss in the second division. He made a total of 201 league appearances for RWE. In 1978 he moved to Hannover 96 for one season , for which he played 21 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga, and then to DSC Wanne-Eickel , where he ended his career in 1980 after 23 second division games. In total, Heinz Blasey made 90 Bundesliga appearances, 60 regional league games and 80 second division appearances.
