Heinz Chur

Heinz Chur (born September 24, 1948 in Essen ) is a German composer who belongs to the New Classical period .

Life

At the beginning of the sixties, Chur began his musical career in Essen. With the 1st symphony (1975 to 1978) he found his musical language, which is characterized by a new tonality . The 7th Piano Sonata (1985) is characteristic of Chur's artistic emotionality and expressiveness.

He lives with his wife Christina as a freelance composer in Essen.
