Peter Hollfelder
Peter Hollfelder (born November 24, 1930 in Munich ; † December 6, 2005 in Würzburg ) was a German pianist and university professor.
Life
Supported by the German National Academic Foundation , he studied at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . His teachers were Franz Dorfmüller , Erik Then-Bergh and Friedrich Wührer . In 1955 he made his debut with the Munich Philharmonic . As the first prize winner of the Federal Selection of Concerts of Young Artists (1957/58), he went on a major tour of Germany. He found international recognition after piano recitals in the Tonhalle Zurich and the Wigmore Hall .
In 1963 he went to the University of Music in Würzburg , where he held the chair for piano until 1996.
