Heinz Erich Stiene

Heinz Erich Stiene (* 1947 ) is a German Middle Latin philologist .

Life

From 1968 to 1974 he studied Latin and English at the University of Cologne , where he passed the first state examination. After receiving his doctorate in 1979 in Middle Latin Philology with Alf Önnerfors with an annotated edition of the Vita et Miracula sancti Goaris by Wandalbert von Prüm, he was appointed Academic Councilor at the Middle Latin Department of the Institute for Classical Studies at the University of Cologne in 1984 and Academic Senior Councilor in 2006. He oversaw the library of the Middle Latin Department and was a member of the Senate Commission for the History of the University. He retired in 2014.
