Heinz Friedrich Hartig
Heinz Friedrich Hartig (born September 10, 1907 in Kassel , † September 16, 1969 in Berlin ) was a German composer and music teacher.
From 1948 he taught at the Berlin Academy of Music , the subjects ear training and music theory . In 1955 he took over a professorship there. In addition, he headed the sound engineering department of the university until his death . As part of this activity he made the acquaintance of Boris Blacher , with whom he worked closely.
Hartig's main interest was in spatial music , to which he and Blacher had been intensively dedicated since the late 1950s.
His compositional work mainly includes concerts , sonatas , songs , oratorios and choral works. He also enjoyed an excellent reputation as a music teacher. Carlo Domeniconi and Roland Pfrengle were among his students .
