Heinz Habermann
Heinz Habermann (* 1938 in Großfischlingen ) is a German art educator , designer , university professor , non-fiction author and local researcher .
life and work
Heinz Habermann was born in Großfischlingen in 1938 . He studied art education in Saarbrücken , Paris and Berlin . After that he was assistant to Oskar Holweck in Saarbrücken for three years . From 1967 he taught "Basics of Design" at the Werkkunstschule (WKS) in Darmstadt . Habermann taught sculpture , design , photography , graphics and interior design until his retirement in 2003 in the design department at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences .
The focus of his teaching was on the fields of industrial design and communication design . From 1971 until the winter semester 1984/1985 he was dean of the design department.
In addition, the professor emeritus works as a local researcher.
