Heinz Hausdorf

Heinz Hausdorf (born February 12, 1922 in Dresden ; † February 26, 1996 there ) was a German graphic artist .

life and work

Heinz Hausdorf completed an apprenticeship as a draftsman from 1936 to 1939 . He then studied from 1947 to 1952 at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts with Hans Theo Richter and Josef Hegenbarth . Since 1952 he has been working as a freelance graphic artist in Dresden and was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR . His work consists mainly of etchings and lithographs , later also woodcuts , pen and pencil drawings, mainly of industrial views and landscapes.
