Heinz Hildebrandt

Heinz Hildebrandt (born July 31, 1921 in Wernigerode ; † July 29, 2003 there ) was a German politician ( FDP ). From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament .

Education and life

Heinz Hildebrandt made after visiting the elementary school and the high school war High School . After attending the forestry school, practical training as a Prussian forest ranger followed in 1939. During World War II he did military service and was interned in Norway. After his release he was a forestry student until 1946, then a forester, district forester, and head forester between 1950 and 1954.

He was arrested in 1954 for political reasons. After his release from prison in 1955, the SED regime was banned from working , so that he then had to work in various simple professions. From 1972 until his retirement in 1986 he was HO sales manager in Wernigerode.

Heinz Hildebrandt was of Protestant denomination, married and has two children.

Heinz Hildebrandt was a member of the KPD from November 1945 and of the SED until 1949 . He was later a member of the LDPD until 1983 . After reunification he joined the New Forum in 1989 and the DFP in January 1990 . In August 1990 he became a member of the FDP until he switched to the CDU in 1994 . From the beginning of 1990 he was the country manager of the Association of Victims of Stalinism (VOS). In the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990, he was elected to the state parliament via the state list of the FDP. In the state parliament he was the senior president and chairman of the special committee to review the MdL .
