Heinz Isermann

Heinz Isermann (born April 17, 1941 in Lüdinghausen ) is a German economist . He is professor for business administration , especially for logistics and transport , at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and the accadis University of Applied Sciences Bad Homburg .

Live and act

Heinz Isermann completed his business studies from 1963 to 1968 at the University of Cologne and at the London School of Economics and Political Science . After completing his studies, he worked for nine months as the managing director of a medium-sized forwarding company in 1969. From 1969 to 1977 he supported Werner Dinkelbach as a research assistant and assistant at his chair in Regensburg and Saarbrücken . During this time he did his PhD in 1974 on multi-objective decision problems.

Another important station in his life was the professorship for business administration at Bielefeld University from 1977 to 1987 , before various appointments came, from which he accepted the appointment to Frankfurt am Main on October 1, 1987. Heinz Isermann turned down another call to the University of Hamburg.

Heinz Isermann's main research areas are e-logistics, dangerous goods logistics and the modeling of logistics services. His research results also resulted in results that could be used in the private sector, which were incorporated into the establishment of Multiscience GmbH in 1986.

Heinz Isermann is committed to practice-oriented teaching, for which he received the challenge cup for the best evaluation result for business administration awarded by the Frankfurt student council in 2000 and the Fritz Neumark Prize, awarded for the first time in 2001, which was awarded for special services to the students and the department, received.
