Heinz Kassy
Heinz Kassy (born June 5, 1935 in Koblenz ; † December 16, 2013 there ) was a German painter .
Life
After an apprenticeship as a script and decoration painter, the son of the Koblenz master painter Josef Kendung studied art from 1953 to 1958 at the Cologne factory schools with Friedrich Vordemberge . Heinz Kassy finished his studies with the appointment as master student of Vordemberge in 1958. This was followed in 1960 by a study visit at Vordemberge-Gildewart in Amsterdam. From 1962 to 1967 Heinz Kendung worked at the Künstlerhaus Asterstein.
Since 1967 Heinz Kendung lived and worked in Koblenz-Bubenheim . In 1989 he took part in a symposium in Moscow and Baku. From 1990 to 1993, Heinz Kassung was a lecturer at the University of Koblenz-Landau . He was president of the international association of visual artists "EUROPA 24".

- 2003 Hanns-Sprung-Prize of the AKM Mittelrhein
- 2005 Culture Prize of the City of Koblenz
- 2008 Old Town Prize of the City of Koblenz
