Heinz Klandt

Heinz Klandt (born July 6, 1947 in Cologne ) held the first German professorship for entrepreneurship at the EBS University of Economics and Law from 1998 to 2015 , financed by the German Compensation Bank (DtA) and the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KFW) on the initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology .

Life

Klandt has been managing director of the business institute for empirical start-up and organizational research (bifego) since 1990 and (honorary) president of the support group for start-up research - Entrepreneurship Research (FGF) since 1992 . In addition, Klandt led the Internationalizing Entrepreneurship Education and Training Conference (IntEnt, 1992 to 2011) and initiated the FGF's G-Forum conference series in 1997.

Klandt studied business administration in Cologne , where he obtained his diploma in 1974 . After working in business, he became a research assistant at the Institute for SME Research in Cologne-Bonn , at the BIFOA and at the planning seminar at the University of Cologne . He then went into business for himself as a management consultant and trainer .

In 1984 he received his doctorate in economics and social sciences summa cum laude at the University of Cologne with the dissertation Activity and Success of the Company Founder , and was a lecturer there from 1985–1990. In 1988 Klandt founded the START research and consulting company in Dortmund and in 2000, together with Peter Rasenberger, the ebscubator GmbH in Oestrich-Winkel . As part of a DFG project (1986–1988) he developed the computer-based start-up business game "EVa".

From 1990 to 1998 he was a professor in the field of empirical economic and social research at the WiSo faculty of the (Technical) University of Dortmund .
