Heinz Lüsch

Heinz Lüsch (born February 17, 1911 in Wandhagen (West Pomerania), † August 4, 1943 in Sicily ) was a German teacher and painter.

Life

Heinz Lüsch was the son of the dairy administrator Wilhelm Lüsch and grew up in Demmin . After graduating from high school in 1930, he studied at the State Art College in Berlin from 1931 to 1935 . A study visit took him to Italy. In September 1939 he completed the traineeship with the assessor exam. He then worked as an art teacher in Gollnow and Stralsund . In 1940 he was drafted into the war and in 1942, after being wounded in Russia, transferred to Italy. Heinz Lüsch worked as a landscape painter. In 1957 and 2000 his works were shown in an exhibition in the Museum of the City of Stralsund .

Heinz Lüsch's main design means were watercolors. He worked “in front of nature” in order to later work out the final version in the studio. He often used muted colors and created a calm mood in his pictures.
