from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinz Liebscher (* 28. November 1931 in Dresden ) is a German retired university professor for electrochemistry and electroplating . From 1970 to 1997 he was a professor at the Technical University / University of Ilmenau .

resume

After studying physical chemistry and receiving his doctorate in 1958 as Dr. rer. nat he worked at the TH Dresden. In 1966, Heinz Liebscher became a lecturer in electrochemistry and electroplating at the Technical University of Ilmenau , taking over the chair for electrochemistry and electroplating from Josef Hampel . He expanded the specialty specific to Ilmenau and headed the institute of the same name. In 1970 Heinz Liebscher was appointed professor for electrochemical engineering. Since 1989 he has been a member of the European Academy of Surface Technology (EAST) Schwäbisch Gmünd. On September 1, 1993 Liebscher was appointed university professor for electrochemistry and electroplating at the faculty for electrical engineering and information technology at the TU Ilmenau. After his retirement, Cordt Schmidt took over the continuation of his work.

Heinz Liebscher now lives in Dillstädt in Thuringia.
