Henry M. Pachter

Henry Maximillian Pachter (before emigration: Heinz Pächter ) (born January 22, 1907 in Berlin ; died December 10, 1980 in New York City ) was an American historian and political scientist of German origin.

Life

After emigrating from Germany, Pachter taught as a professor of history at the New School for Social Research , the City University of New York and Rutgers University . He was considered an excellent expert on the history of socialism . Pachter also published under the pseudonym Henry Rabassiere .
