Heinz P. Adamek (born January 25, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian lawyer, art manager , author and was Rector's Director from 1975 to 1998 and University Director of the University of Applied Arts Vienna from 1998 to 2009 .

Career

Adamek was born as the son of Leopold and Dagmar Adamek. Schützenhofer born. From 1952 to 1955 he was a member of the Vienna Boys' Choir . He graduated from the Mariahilfer grammar school in 1962 . He then went on to study law at the University of Vienna , which he completed in 1967 with a doctorate. He also studied French and Italian at the interpreting institute at the University of Vienna. From 1970 to 1974 he was a lecturer in German (Vienna International University Courses, today Language Center University of Vienna ) and from 1971 to 1988 also lecturer in American university programs in Vienna (Central College of Iowa) in German, music history and literature with the establishment of a theater seminar in which Framework in 15 years over 20 theater productions - mainly of pieces of Viennese Modernism - have been developed and performed publicly. Already in 1975 appointed to the post of rectorate director of the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Adamek was confirmed in 1998 as university director of what is now the University of Applied Arts Vienna .

From 1987 to 1995 Adamek was a member of the advisory board of the Comitato Segantini in St. Moritz and a board member of the Vienna branch of the Società Dante Alighieri (Dante Alighieri Society). In 1991 he was appointed councilor . He was also a member of the advisory board of the Association for the Promotion of German and International Science Law for many years . Since 2001 Adamek has been Vice President of the Gutenstein Master Classes (International Master Classes for Music in Gutenstein Castle , Lower Austria). He was the founder of the University and Society Forum in 2004 and has been its President since 2005. Since 2009 Adamek has been the holder of the Ring of Honor of Applied Sciences . Even after finishing his civil service career, Adamek remained active as an art manager and continues to work internationally as a curator of exhibitions.
