Heinz Preuss

Heinz Preuss (* 1939 / 1940 ) is a German former coach in Diving .

Life

Preuss, who won bronze in the youth championship of the German Democratic Republic in 1956 as a diver , graduated from the German University of Physical Culture (DHfK) in Leipzig in 1970 with the thesis "Development tendencies and technical characteristics in the disposal of gymnastics equipment with rotations around the longitudinal and Latitude axis. shown on the devices bars, horizontal bar and rings ”.

He worked as a gymnastics coach and returned to diving in 1975. He initially trained young people in Halle . Since he says he had relatives in Germany, he was refused to accompany his protégés to competitions abroad.

From 1986 to 1990 Preuss was a water jump trainer at SC Chemie Halle. He was a trainer at the federal base and state performance center for water jumping in Halle. He initially retired in 2003, but returns later, before he left his position there at the end of 2017 at the age of 78. From 1994 to 2011 he held the office of the state jump warden for Saxony-Anhalt.

Heinz Preuß trained Christoph Bohm, Katja Dieckow and Florian Fandler .

Honors

In 1999 he was awarded the silver pin of honor by the German Swimming Association , and his name was entered in the honor book of the State Swimming Association of Saxony-Anhalt.
