Heinz Schachermayer

Heinz Schachermayer (born May 5, 1922 in Linz as Heinrich Schachermayer; † December 6, 2007 there ) was an Austrian entrepreneur .

Life

Schachermayer graduated from Linz in 1940 . After the Second World War , the family company founded in 1838 was gradually taken over by him and later managed together with his son Roland and his grandsons Gerd and Josef Schachermayer. He was an honorary member of the Upper Austrian Economic Society. In September 2002 he received the Ring of Honor of the State Capital Linz, he also received the Grand Decoration of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria and was appointed to the Council of Commerce .

In 2006 the Schachermayer company had around 2000 employees and a turnover of 424 million euros . It is active as a wholesaler for wood and metal processing companies.
