Heinz Schippers

Heinz Schippers (born January 15, 1926 ; † January 23, 2016 ) was a German entrepreneur and manager .

Life

Heinz Schippers studied mechanical engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) And was a. a. works for Glanzstoff Köln GmbH in Wuppertal. In 1951 he became a member of the board of the mechanical engineering group Barmer Maschinenfabrik Aktiengesellschaft (Barmag) (since 2007 Oerlikon Barmag ) in Remscheid-Lennep, later chairman of the board and member of the supervisory board. He held several business mandates, such as chairman of the supervisory board of Schwelmer Eisenwerk Müller & Co. He held numerous patents for his inventions.

He was involved in the Society of Friends of the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and had been Deputy President since 1988. He was a member of the advisory board of Deutsche Bank .
