Heinz Sponsel
Heinz Sponsel , pseudonym René Bernard (born August 25, 1913 in Heimstetten , Upper Bavaria , † November 24, 1999 in Munich ) was a German writer .
Life
After attending school in Nuremberg, Heinz Sponsel completed a course of study at the Philosophical-Theological University in Bamberg . In the Third Reich he was a soldier and took part in the Second World War. After his return from American captivity , he lived as a freelance writer in Peißenberg , Stuttgart-Degerloch and Munich in Upper Bavaria .
Heinz Sponsel published narrative works for young people and non-fiction books from 1946 . In 1952 he was awarded the Ernst Preczang Foundation's Literature Prize.
