Heinz Urban

Heinz Urban (born January 15, 1925 in Gelsenkirchen ; † June 15, 1977 ) was a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life

After attending school, he completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith . From 1930 to 1933 he was a member of the socialist youth workers " Die Falken " and from 1945 to 1955 its chairman in Gelsenkirchen. Urban was a member of the trade union IG Metall and from 1958 chairman of the works council at Gußstahlwerk Gelsenkirchen AG.

From July 21, 1962 to May 27, 1975 Urban was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituencies 98 and 101 Gelsenkirchen III.

He was a member of the city council of Gelsenkirchen from 1952. From 1954 to 1964 he was a member of the landscape assembly of the regional association Westphalia-Lippe .
