Heinz Vollert (born August 10, 1923 ) is a former German soccer player. From 1949 to 1952 he played in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football , for ZSG / Stahl / Motor Altenburg .

Athletic career

Heinz Vollert began his career in the nationwide post-war soccer game at the age of 26 in 1949/50 with the Altenburg Central Sports Association in the newly founded East Zone soccer league (later East German league). As a striker, he won a regular place in the team with 25 appearances in 26 point games and four goals. Even when the ZSG had to play a relegation game to stay in the league at the end of the season, Vollert was part of the 3-2 win over Anker Wismar . Due to a lack of several league games in 1950/51, Vollert only made 26 appearances in 34 point games and scored only two goals this time, although still called up in attack. In the course of this season, the ZSG was converted into the company sports community (BSG) Stahl Altenburg. In the season 1951/52 Vollert played only one league game in the first half of the season, although he was only in the starting line-up in the first half of the season.

The BSG ended the season as relegated and played from 1952/53 under a new carrier company as BSG Motor in the second-rate GDR league . Vollert returned to his old form there and made 61 appearances in 76 league games in three seasons up to 1955. With 17 goals scored, he became a reliable goal scorer. In the summer of 1955 he was 32 years old and then ended his career in competitive football. Within six seasons he had completed 53 league games (six goals) and 61 GDR league games (17 goals).
